Regional Volunteer at Durbin | IT Coordinator at UBGS | Former IT Manager at TLC | "Geology and Mining" Student at University of Barishal
I am a 3rd-year BSc student in Geology and Mining at the University of Barishal, Bangladesh, with research interests in geomorphology, hydrogeochemistry, and the application of geospatial tools to earth science problems. During my undergraduate studies I contributed to two peer-reviewed publications indexed on ScienceDirect one examining geomorphic index alterations in a coastal river system in Bangladesh, and another on hydrogeochemical characterisation of groundwater in coastal Bangladesh. My contributions involved geospatial figure preparation and graphical data visualisation, for which I was acknowledged by name in both papers. Being involved in active research teams at this stage has given me direct exposure to how field data translates into published scientific work. Alongside my academic work I built and operated a radio astronomy telescope that successfully detected the 21cm Hydrogen Line emission of the Milky Way an independent project spanning hardware construction, signal processing, and observational data interpretation. I have also developed several open-access geoscience tools including a QFL Ternary Diagram Builder and Lithora, a web application for geochemical index calculations and data visualisation, built in Python. I work with ArcGIS for spatial analysis and GIS mapping, and Python for data processing and application development. I serve as IT Coordinator at the University of Barishal Geological Society and as a Regional Volunteer at Durbin, an astronomical society focused on public science outreach and community engagement.

As Durbin's regional volunteer, conducted public telescope outreach sessions in collaboration with Barishal University Physics Club, teaching local students to operate Unistellar and reflecting mirror telescopes. Sessions included live observation and imaging of the Orion Nebula, Jupiter, the four Galilean moons, Mars and Saturn bringing hands-on astronomy education to non-specialist audiences.
Arranged by UBGS, YouthMappers BU, and EAGE-BU. provided IT support, designed promotional materials, and coordinated logistics on event day for this multi-organisational geoscience outreach programme. YouthMappers BU is affiliated with the international YouthMappers network.
